We’re excited about the introduction of the newest update to TheFormTool. Version 2.2 is expected the first half of August and it’s absolutely fantastic! This update is the 14th in the series of free updates for owners of TheFormTool PRO, an incredible record of continuing value-add for owners.
We previewed version 2.2 on July 24th for two dozen of the most experienced and sophisticated users of TheFormTool — the top 1{9e5c399d4686ffbee71f542e7a95a67178027d042b67cd6e8c3b22a26beb12ba} of users worldwide, our Most Valued Toolers™. The MVT’s gave the update a most enthusiastic reception.
Version 2.2’s theme is a continuation of our goal of simplicity, or as we put it the power to be simple.™ We want the novice to be an expert in ten minutes and for the expert to be able to exercise all the power TheFormTool can provide in an hour or two.
Here are the six biggest improvements:
Master Lists are smarter three ways. The user interface is now an “ordinary” Word table. Multi-line entries, such as addresses are accommodated; and the number of items managed per entry is increased from 10 to 63.
TheFormTool’s new Find and Paste button allows the author search for any text and replace it with Fields. This will speed up creation of long documents dramatically while cutting error rates. This feature is matched by a twin Find button in the Field/List/Condition screen to automate searches for specific labels.
The new Clear Answers button, on the new Tools menu, allows instant wiping of answers from the Q&A Table, a real boon in the final form’s creation process.
We haven’t forgotten Users. They now have a Start button to guide them to the beginning of the Q&A Table.
Speaking of Q&A Tables, questions can now be grouped by Dividers and color-coded, guiding the User to faster, more accurate answers.
