A customer asked recently if we could automate adding and managing signatures to a document.
Because our programs are embedded in Word, external signatures can be acquired and even certified through third party vendors. Our favorite is DocuSign, an affordable and convenient service to securely and quickly collect digital signatures from others. Similar services are offered by Dropbox and Adobe among others.
For internal signatures from yourself or others in the office, a simple graphic can be stored digitally and accessed by Doxserá or DB when needed. We save our examples in TIFF, JPEG, and PNG formats with both white background and transparent versions to fit specific needs. When forms need signatures we just add a Fetch for the appropriate graphic to be lifted from a secure library and it’s inserted in just a second.
